I have been interested in art since childhood. Retirement offered me the opportunity to focus on both writing, especially poetry, and painting, particularly in oils. Each medium reinforces the other.

Since I was a young child, I’ve doodled and drawn; perhaps that is innate. Today I am motivated to capture the joys, sorrows and spirituality of nature. As with my poetry where I try to draw with words, when painting I try to tell a story with light and shadows.
